Everything You Need to Know

A drink is included in your ticket. Food can be purchased at our Chelmsford and Colchester venues.

Our events are designed to be informal, friendly and welcoming to everyone. We have so many people come along and afterwards say they had no need to be nervous. Cheryl will always look out for you if you haven’t been before or book in a zoom call with her direct before hand.

We don’t have industry lockouts at our events. We thrive on collaboration not competition. By building the like, know and trust factors, people will be more inclined to buy from you. There is also opportunities for people in the same industries to support each other and work together. Locking people out restricts those opportunities.

Grab your drink which is included in your ticket or membership, if it’s your first time then Cheryl our host will be looking out for you. Find your seat, and once everyone is settled we have a round of introductions around the room - this can be Hi, I’m Cheryl and I run She Connects, You Thrive. You can explain your Why - that being why you decided to go into business and why you have decided to come networking. Whether that is to meet people, look for business or simple you are looking for cheerleaders? Everybody is welcome here! We then have a guest speaker, finishing with Q&A for them and the remaining time can be spent networking.

There is no requirement for a formal pitch or any specific length of introduction. Please do whatever feels comfortable for you

I would have a short introduction ready to share with the group. Bring a pen and notebook for making all those important contacts and notes from the guest speaker. Also bring along any business cards, leaflets or promotional items you would like to handout.

Cheryl will have reached out to you before the event, and will be keeping an eye out for you. You can just get yourself a drink, find a seat and make yourself comfortable, or have a chat with some of the other attendees and start networking right away.

Yes, it is women only at our events. When women support women, incredible things can happen and we are more powerful as a group working together to support one another.

We have people in the group at all stages of business and welcome everyone whether you haven’t yet launched or have been in business for 20 years

There are no referral or sales targets. If you enjoy our events or being part of the Facebook group, please do invite any fellow women in business by heading to the facebook group. Online events are for an hour. Every member has an opportunity to introduce themselves, tell us their location and why they went into business. Then we have a discussion topic where everybody has a chance to voice their opinion & join in. All topics are listed on the website so you can pick which ones resonate with you. Next we have a member spotlight for approx. 10 mins where we hear more about them and there business, with slides or props or whichever the member feels most comfortable. This is member spotlight is on a rota so we all get a chance to have a good. Remember we are all friends here so it is a get way to build your confidence, get your voice heard and practice speaking in front of people. We end with our positivity round where we share one of the following – something positive that happened in business this week to you, something positive that happened in your personal life that you are happy to share or something positive that you enjoyed from the meeting.
